Run quite strictly as in your marker, bottle and hopper are taken off you when you enter. You are not allowed them in the safe zone. They are chrono'd by a marshall and then have I be left inside the armoury area.
This is how it always was in the past. Not sure if Loz has changed that for pure walk-ons as this was own gunners in with normal punter days. On these days there was also inconsistency depending on mood. Many days a ripclip was fine and then one day I was told it couldn't be used. You were also supposed to be able to bring back paint if it was bought there. On one occasion I did this, telling a marshall and offering them a pod to shoot and drop test. Subsequently in a game I was pulled out for shooting the wrong colou paint. I had to sit that game out and argue my case back in the safe zone.
Ah yes, you also had to be taken in and out of games by marshalls. No free access.
Air fills we're by asking a marshall, in the armoury, to get your bottle filled, and then hope they had remembered when the next game was called and you wen to collect your marker.
Air fills we're from a few Scuba tanks so dropped off during a day, even if only 3 or 4 of us using HPA. The site ran on Co2. There was no compressor or proper air system on site.
There at other sites where you don't self fill, NPF and even us at WF, to control safety, but you usually take your bottle and know it's done while you watch.
At the time I was new and didn't know any different, but now that all seems excessively restrictive.
It's been a couple of years now since I've been there so it would be interesting if you go up and feed back what, if any, changes have been made.
As I said, the site itself is very good and I used to really enjoy the actual zones.
