I'd have to phone them and speak with them properly. Go good being sent a bunch of stickers and tshirts and potentially miss out on other sponsorships.
Would need to know the details!
Good job though! Well worth looking in to.

Nath, we won't know unless we ask. And if it is cheap paint then that is surely good. Teams can be sponsored by more than one company. It's just down to way contract is worded.

There is very little real 'sponsorship' in paintball. most of the deals are simply 'support' deals where you get some discount. In many cases you can get the same discounts just by negotiating and bulk buying, without the need to agree any restrictions on what you use or who you buy from.
It's a trap lots of new teams fall into, believing that they have to have some kind of 'sponsorship' or 'support' deal with other companies names on their kit. In some cases teams go OTT and end up with 4 or more 'sponsors' that are no different to what every other new team gets. All that means is that you're putting someone roses name on your team branding.
As a team, we've been offers many deals in the past. The only one we have taken, on a mutual association basis, is the Warfighters one. I don't think you could ever accuse us of being disadvantaged by it. In many cases we get the same, or better, deals than 'supported' teams simply via negotiation and the way we coordinate team purchases into single bulk orders.
If you go getting too excited then you'll be in danger of just being another new team looking like walking billboards.
Just Paintball is one of the common names you'll see on all and sundry. The Sterling deal is another that's a farce really. As far as the 'sponsorship' goes it's of no real value when any team can get the 'deal'. In fact, when you consider that the 'discounted' £25 a box price is what you'd expect to pay anyway, it almost seems like the £27 original price is simply their sonthey can knock it back to what they are prepared to sell at. Then you take Staargate, where apparently Sterling have said that the 'team sponsorship price' can be given to anyone.
Just go and talk o different traders and see who you want to use and strike up a relationship.
We can use anyone, and do on many occasions, but we generally choose to use BZ as they look after us without any formal arrangement that we have to promote them by using their name etc. When we recommend them it's because we choose to do so. We had a paint deal with LiPS early last year but the paint wasn't coming up to scratch so, despite giving another couple of games to rectify, we moved to a deal with BZ. However, we can deal with whoever we like when it is in the benefit of the sam as a whole.

This is what I think we can do as a team.
1 of us brings up an idea, and with discussion we can sort out the rights and wrongs of it, to find best way forward.
Like the old saying goes, "The only stupid question, is the question not asked"
This 1 was not stupid, and nor are any that may be in your mind at the moment. The only stupid part is not asking people who might know...
