Forgot to mention. I am in the process of buying a new pod pack at the moment, which means my old tactical vest will be of no use. If you want it you can have it if it'll help you get started. It's not great but it will hold pods, and that's all you need to start with It's the one my mate is wearing in this pic Nath, Is your offer to borrow your tactical vest still open for when we meet? I bought one but its not as I had hoped (and it stinks!) so i will be returning it and need something that can hold pods better! Also is it for sale? If I like it I may look to buy it off you! I need something that can hold pods reliably and if I like it I may consider it! On another note; anyone able to suggest a good tactical vest that can hold paintballs too? Something cheap and cheerful!

The black one in the pic you can have for free mate. I do not need it as I have three. I must warn you though it has it's own whiff and also can only hold 4 pods reliably, can hold 9 all together but the reason I got a new one is because they fall out I also have a nice camo one which does the job really well that you can borrow if you don't want the black one, however that one isn't for sale as I loan it out a lot, or use it if I need the pocket space

Welcome along, your in good hands with the NG lot they are all a good laugh and enjoy the hobby for what it is.....FUN!. My advise on gear is get yourself sorted with the basics and get along to some walk-ons or events and have a feel of other peoples markers. Most people will let you fondle and may even let you fire a few balls down the range. This is a good way of getting a feel of which marker suits you best without forking out £££££ on something you might not like. My 2p worth.
Just play paintball for the fun and enjoyment of it. Its not the cheapest hobby by far but my gosh its a good un.

Ok so I ordered some mini-DV cameras to record our games. Thing is I needed to figure out how to mount it on my helmet in a decent way; Heres what I have so far lol Provided no one shoots me on the head - I think it should be fine

Haha you're bound to get hit right on it! Just make sure you won't hit it walking through doors or crawling through things, looks great though! Not long till the killhouse on the 7th now

How about gaffer taping to your tac vest??
Fair enough you will only see whats in front of you, and not what your looking at, but will be safer for you. And less likely to break the camera.

Indeed it is an option. I will reinforce the camera on the helmet I think but its a cheapo camera and will do the job methinks! Lets just all agree not to shoot mephestic on the head prior to starting though
